Rural Health Group is excited to announce the launch of our new Dental Mobile Unit, bringing essential dental services directly to children in Halifax, Northampton, Warren, Vance, and Granville Counties. Our mobile dental program will serve students from Head Start through Grade 12, providing preventive and restorative dental care at their schools. By bringing care directly to students, we help eliminate barriers that often prevent children from receiving timely dental treatment. This innovative approach reduces missed classroom time for students and minimizes the need for parents to miss work for dental appointments.
Through our School-Based Health Center program, we have already witnessed the positive impact accessible dental care can have on children’s oral health, academic success, and overall well-being. Over the last three years, we have provided services to more than 400 children through our School-Based Health Clinic located at KIPP Gaston. The Dental Mobile Unit will allow us to expand those services and reach even more children who need care.
